Authors what’s your daily creative process?

Authors Daily Creative Process

As an Author, do YOU have a daily creative process?

I know of some authors who set aside the same TIME each day to sit down and write, research or think about their book or project.

What do you do?

And perhaps you’re wondering: what do I do?

I admit I’m not a typical author who has a set time to “write”. I write, ponder, think, research at any time of the day, whenever it takes my fancy 🙂

See, I told you “I’m not a typical author” – we are each individual unique creatures and we do what feels best for us.

If you DON’T have a writing “routine”, that’s just fine – do whatever works best for you, and you can always try a set routine and see if that might feel right for you too.

Some people love having a set time / Agenda for writing, so my best advice is – “YOU do YOU – do what WORKS for you”.

In a chat with 5, 10, 20 authors we will find the answer to this question will have 5, 10 or 20 different versions, where each author has worked out what works best for them.

Chat with other authors, listen to their daily creative process, borrow bits which suit you and ignore bits which you are not interested in trying.

Whatever you do, whichever daily creative process you decide to use, make sure to follow it daily for a week. If that works for you, perhaps try for another 7 days. If you’re enjoying the momentum, continue that for another 7 days, and see where it leads.

I’d love to hear what’s working for you, please do share 🙂
