“How much will it cost to publish my book on Amazon?”
The short answer is: “Zero. Nada. Zilch. Nothing.”
Why? There is NO FEE to upload a book to Amazon.com
However — if you choose to get someone to help you, they may charge fees for:
- editing
- ghost writing
- illustrations
- photographs
- layout and design
- cover design
- marketing
- and much more.

Fill in a few details for a rough Estimate:
- select Paperback or Hard Cover
- select Standard white pages, Colour pages or Premium Colour pages
- type in the total number of pages
- choose amazon.com etc
- type in a potential retail price
- cick the CALCULATE button.
For this example, I selected a COLOUR INTERIOR.
In the final red box shown above are all the money numbers for this calculation.
- I can see that if I publish a book with colour interior for $US17.00, the estimated royalty I might receive is around $6.78.
- If I’m publishing a colouring book or other book at a much lower price, the Royalty will also be much lower.
Many worldwide authors are happy with $2-3 per book, and if they sell hundreds or thousands of book, even better.
